“The most engaging unsigned band I have ever witnessed”
Bursting on stage with smiles, eye balls on stick and a huge array of instruments, The Outside Royalty made their intentions clear by opening with a huge rumbling hoe-down that merged into the second song before you could even catch your breath.
Clearly loving it, the American band were like a happy Arcade Fire, triumphant in their abilities as a group and the most engaging unsigned band I have ever witnessed.
At points darker than the gates of hell, their all smiling and dancing violinist and enigmatic frontman bounced out of every sonic pit with the ghosts of Jarvis Cocker never too far away.
The crowd were treated to a first ever live rendition of new song ‘Palladium’ but it was set closer ‘Falling (part 2)’ that tore the place down.
